typhoon 120 eats the 9500, it is the #2 in cooling, but you got the vx, just because its the same company doesnt mean it will perform as its others. especially since the vx has the fan pointed downwards to the cpu, i dont know if its moving air away or towards the cpu but i bet its towards, and all the top coolers seem to follow a trend, they pass air across the cpu, typhoon 120, tt120, 9700, look at the gemini, its massive. everyone expects it to beat the other heatsinks but the thermalright still beats it. and it's fans are faced towards or away from the cpu. well let us know if it cools good when u get it.
the point is that i dont have much time, at all. i must know it now quickly please!
i KNOW that it is the same as the regular big typ or even better. the point is that im afraid that something will happen if i move the comp, because the big typ is heavy and the vx is not connected at the back of the motherboard.
i got like 30 minutes to decide.
well, if it hasnt got a backplate its going to do some damage isnt it. i cant see the weight, and i dont think anyone has that heatsink so we cant tell you anything except what is there on the internet. and if you got 30 minutes why do you have to double post in the time of 1 minute? i mean adding some new info after a few days is a good reason to double post but this is just silly. use the edit button.
how much did you pay for the big typhoon, i'd just get the 9500 for looks and decent cooling it offers if it isnt that much.
the big typ got a blackplate, but the vx doesnt. 800+ this is the wight.
well, iirc i think its the intel recommended or the mobo makers recommended heatsink weight should be under 500g, so if i had that i'd keep my pc flat so it doesnt bend anything. better get one with a backplate or better still save up for a better heatsink with backplate.
