needing advice on well almost everything:)

hello please be kind to me its been a while since i built a pc and have fallen by the way side regarding pc building and whats hot and whats not so i need your help

i have so far decided i want to build a

e6600 based system in a p182 case and have some form of 8800gts card

my main problem is motherboard choice the chances of me going sli are very very slim id like good built in sound, stable, good overclocking, decent features, quiet ! i like the look of the 680i boards but £130-£200 is just too much

also recommend a psu and memory also any decent 8800gts's ?

thank you for all your help

    all the best mike

well that should OC pretty well; my evga 8800gts does 640+Mhz core and 1090+ mhz (effective = 2180) on the mem so you should be good to go.

If your open to overclocking, get an E4300....You can run at at 3GHz+ which is more then enough for most people and its half the price of an E6600 (which would only clock slightly higher, if at all)

Youll need ddr3 for the p5k3 deluxe, very expensive and not much of a speed increase over ddr2 yet.

P5K deluxe is the way to go at the moment

The wifi will work either way.

i would have recommended the same, graphicswise, the 8800 should drop as the hd2900's are coming out. if you want cheap prices, use scan and try ebuyer with google checkout. the geil ram you can get at microdirect or ocuk. apart from that its a top selection of components that will last you a good amount of years.

i hope it will last a while as now im older i just dont have the drive to spend lots on a pc's any more its better spent on the house and holidays lol

this has all been brought about by my desire to play c&c3 as my laptop will only play it in 800x600 with minimum everything lol
