    Unhappy DVD Drive problem

well basically...as the title suggests, ive got a problem with my dvd drive (a LG) and my cd rom drive (Lite-on).

The problem is that my OS (vista ultimate) doesnt pick them up anymore. Ive had vista since february and they were working fine on it until today.

The thing is though, when im in BIOS it recognises them ok so it must be something to do with vista. Im a bit baffled...

    Help anyone?

You could try swapping the controller that they are on (e.g. IDE Secondary Master to Secondary slave, etc) or if they are SATA, swap the port they are on. It might give Vista a boot on the bahooky to recognise them again.

Just make sure to reset any associated jumpers on the drives if you do this.

Edit: There's always the possibility that this "Power Supply: Some random that came with the case :O" has something to do with it...
