Go on then.... depress me...

How much should I sell the following PC for?

Antec P180 case

2 gig crucial ballistix DDR 500

AMD Athlon X2 4400+

Asus A8N Sli Deluxe

160gb Maxtor SATA hard disk

SATA DVD-RW (Samsung)

Seasonic 600W PSU

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PRO

2 X 7800 GTX 256mb (one with arctic cooling cooler fitted)

Creative x-fi fatality sound card.

All ran at stock speeds. Not clocked.

So go on then, ruin my day and tell me how much all this expensive equipment is worth...

If you could be so kind

Cheers

Are you looking to sell as a whole pc, or willing to split. You would probably get more if you split.

Yeah that's my rule of thumb - it'll sell for roughly half the full retail price.

I would be willing to split. It's just less of a ballache selling it this way.

thats quite a nice system try selling it on ebay and dress it up a bit do your own advertising to pull in the sucker like:

2gb crucial ballistix top of the line ram, mention dual core meaning twice the power a lot (I know it isn't true but you need to bullsh*t a bit), dual 7800's in sli twice the performance and twice the power efficiently managed by the dual core

I think you would definately get more for it split up into parts on eBay. However, its actually a really nice system, i just dont think you get people who realise the quality of that sort of build looking for complete systems on eBay - but could be wrong. Might have more luck asking for offers from people here...or in another part of the forum. If you fancy selling parts i can think of at least one person who might make an offer for something tho... :')

I'm interested to know what system you might be replacing it with, because as many have already stated, that’s a pretty decent setup you have. IMO unless you like throwing money away hang on for a bit, I guess it all depends on what you use your system for, and if you like having bleeding edge hardware.
I would hazard a bet you would get more from breaking it down and flogging components individually, you will probably get more from selling the parts in your local ads newspaper, or ebay as previously suggested.

I also want to know why you're selling

I was going to upgrade a similar'ish spec to AM2 but was advised it wasn't worth it.

Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Professional - £75
TOTAL = £663

If I was you, I would seperate all of the components and put each into its own original packaging if you have still got them, and sell everything seperate on here, ebay or any other popular place. I am guesssing that you will have to pay about £100 postage in total to ship everything and deducting ebay fees, I think you will make about £500. However, if you no longer have the original boxes and packaging, I would say you would only make about £400 as on ebay, things sell for substancially more when in original packaging.

However, if you sell the system all together, I dont think people will realise the quality of the components inside, so think you will get less than by selling seperate...

Okay, the reason I'm selling is to free up some cash. There's not really any games out that I play anymore besided PES and FM2007 and they both run great on my laptop.

The reason there's 1 arctic cooler attatched is because I originally had 1 7800 gtx, but it was too noisy so attatched a cooler to it. I never really got round to attatching one to my 2nd one, though.

THink I might sell it all seperate though. I really don't want to put it all on ebay. Not a big fan. So keep an eye out in the forsale section

Unless someone makes me an offer for it all, of course
