    Stupid WCing...

    Well Ive got everything in my WCing loop setup, I put some coolant in the reservoir, turned it on and everything seemesd A-OK, however I now have 3 airbubbles, 1 in front of the pump inlet (ouch), 1 after the CPU block outlet and 1 after the Rad outlet.

    Any idea how to get rid of them ? Does this mean Ive messed up the flow direction or something btw ?

    Perhaps tip the thing with the pump running to get the air to the top/wherever it can escape?

    Careful it's sealed at the time... don't want any spillages!

    I found out that the outlet of the pump was going to the outlet of the CPU block, I changed this round but bubbles still occur, will try turning the pump on and off again in a min...

    Looking at that pic, you are going to have problems bleeding it like that.

    Is that black cylinder thing at the front the res?

    Fill the res and before you turn on the power to the pump, hold the res so that the water can flow downwards towards the pump, then, once the tube between the res and pump is filled, lift the pump so that it water runs towards the cpu block and keep doing it.

    keep doing this until you get some water round the loop.

    As you have the barbs at the bottom of the rad, you can use the bleed screw at the top to let the air out.

    Get a load of kitchen roll round the screw in case of spillage, undo the screw a bit until water comes out, then tighten it back down. You may need to do that a few times.

    Tipping the whole lot at all angles will help get the air out, and try and place that res as high up as possible while you are doing it.

    Ahaha, fixed it now, just kept switching the pump on and off, each time a few of the bubbles went.

    Annoying thing is whenever I move the pump I get bubbles and have to do the whole thing again.

    Think I'll wait until I get my drivebay res from ebuyer until I can get this sorted properly...

    In that case the air bubbles will still be in there, but in a place you cannot see them, you are best off running the pump, off the psu with the entire system disconnected from your rig (I think you can trigger the psu to start by shorting the green wire on the 20/24pin connector with a black one, though make sure that the pump is connected at the time as psu's apparently don't like running with no load, and double check that it is the green to ground, as my memory is fuzzy and am not 100%) when you have it all set up an running you can manipulate (twist about) each part of it seperatly until you have coaxed all the bubbles into the res (keep topping it up when needed)

    Dude if you bought the 5 and a half inch Alphacool bay res you will be dissapointed, the two I got from ebuyer (both returned) the holes for the LED's are too small so they wont fit. To top it off the first one I got had an RMA number on it (Winner!) Not a happy bunny!

    I have that pump, and youve got the outlet hooked up to the res. Bad for cooling, and ist gonna make it hella hard to bleed.

    Basically you wanna get the res higher than anything else, fill it up, run the pump for a split second, refill res, repeat ad nauseum. THen, with the res still open, run the pump with the bleed screw in the radiator open slightly for at least 24 hours. You'll find water should bubble out of the radiator at first, then slow down later.
