Help troubleshooting boot issue

Hello everybody,

I've been facing a hardware issue for about a month now, and I need some assistance. Here the story, I bought all new compenents last fall, they ran a little quirky but nothing major.

Last month, I ran into a problem getting the BSoD from Nvidia, I called both BFG for my video card and Asus for my mobo. I ended sending them both out on RMA. I got the items back and everything was good for a week until the 4 pin ATX connector on the mobo failed.

Asus told me it was the PSU so I bought a new one with no luck. so I RMA'ed the board again, I just got it in but I can't get it to boot past POST.

if everything is attatched I don't get the all clear beep, if I pull the video card I do get the video error beep sequence, same with memory.

Here is my setup:
Asus A8N-SLI premium
AMD 4400+
80 Gig raptor
BFG Geforce 7900 GT OC 512 MB DDR3
4x 512 MB Corsair TwinX DDR 400 XMS
Antec Trio 650 PSU

Any Ideas?

1. What BIOS are you using?

2. *Have you tried it with just 2 memory sticks in dual channel?*

3. Are you OC'ing it?

4. Are those your only components? What about fans?

* This chipset won't generally run 4 sticks of memory at the rated speed.

BIOS is award, I don't know the version

I've tried 4, 2, and 1 sticks

no over clocking, this is a replaced board and I haven't got far enough to get into the BIOS

no extra fans yet, I originally thought it was a grounding issue, so it's sitting on a piece of cardboard.

It's probable that the BIOS you have doesn't support the 4400+. You need to update it to the latest version. Unless you have an older CPU or can borrow one you may want to refer this back to where you got the board from.
