the barton 2500xp is supposed to reach 3200 xp apparently ?
it does indeed, if you get the unlocked one. i just ordered an oem from ebuyer and runs at 11.5 x 200 no probs, which is slightly higher than stock 3200 :)
And before you ask they started lockin the chips at about week 46/47
take the board back, get a Abit IC7 Max3 and get a P4 2.4ghz, clock that sucker, and live your life like a rich porn star lol
^ has too much money
Get that 2500 and raise the FSB to 200 and enjoy the speed
hi, i got 2600+ b
im going to get that board nf7-s
what do you think i can overclock 2 with normal colling (2 case fans and amd coolermaster fan)
thx
with PC2700 you can't go any further than 333MHz FSB ;)
sorry im new to oc
what do you mean 333fsb,
i wanted know the clock speed when overclock (2... ghz)
at the moment my athlon runs at 2.13ghz (not OC)
i want to know if it will go up with that nf7-s board,
cheers

In your sig it says you have PC2700, the max theoretical speed of this RAM is 333MHz (something like 2.7Gb/sec transfer rate?) So you won't be able to get your FSB up which is what overclocking is really. You could increase the multiplier but it won't increase your performance.Quote:

ok
cheers m8, i m still learning
With an NF7-S v2.0 you can. I have the XP1700+ and PC2100. The 1700+ is at 2.2GHz (200*11) and the ram runs at standard speed.Quote:

increasing cpu clock either way will make it faster. acctually fsb doesnt do much, gives only a few % more to my 3dm2k1 score...Quote:

also if you look @ my sig, (most) pc2700 ram is capable of pc3200 (with memsinks, and voltage upped a bit) while mine is capable of pc3500 :)
Kezzer your 3dm2k1 score seems about 1k too low for a 9800p/2.2ghz athlon :O
silent, my mobo 6382 is crap, no overclocking options at all
is there any other way of OC
memory: samsung 2700 2x 256
cheers
