Question SATAII & SATAI on same controller

Hi I have an Intel A8HLR SATA RAID chip on my Gigabyte DS4, there are 6 ports on this controller.

I would like to run 4 SATA II disks in a RAID 0 + 1 (or 10) and use SATA I disks on the remaining ports as just disks.

Can I do this? will it work? and will I get SATAII performance (ish) from the SATA II disks or will it default to SATA I because of the extra SATA I drives.

Thanks in advance - PS am about to build LOL

Shouldn't be a problem, but if you do find issues, there is usually a jumper on the drive to reduce the sata2 drives to sata 1 speeds (it actually makes very little difference to performance).
