Hi Peeps
Im going to be moving to a C2D setup soon and i really want to have a play with raid on a gaming system. can anyone recommend a board thats decent at clocking and got a half decent raid chip on it.
i have around £75 to spend on it.

Has a fairly good bios now, overclocks well according to the reviews, in the right price range and the 'Pro' version uses the ICH8R (raid version) intel controller. Can't see anything wrong with it really, except for lack of bundled accessories (my asus came with wifi, a remote control, some weird thing where you can plug an m3 player into it and soud comes out the system speakers when it's turned off and all sorts of nonsense - cost £150 though).
Great choice...even if i do say so myself. Get the pro not the std though, seem worth it for the small difference in price.

apparently overclocks very well...not tested. But I don't think iits as good as the abit. Spending a little more and getting the ASUS p5b-deluxe should maybe be considered aswell?

650i boards dont o/c as well in reviews ive read. If you aren't after SLi then avoid them...will get a better board for your money out of a 965.
I would say go with a 965 board as they give great performance/cost ratio and 650i as said is really only fo nVidia's SLi manopoly.
P35 boards hitting the market though, may want to wait a month+ and see if what else they have to offer. So far only Asus and Gigabyte have boards on the market and the Gigabyte DS3 cheaper boards ain't had much said about them yet.
Reviewers seem to be fine combing DQ6's and P5K Deluxes.
