    Please check this spec for £500

    Sorry it's the same old, but I'd appreciate your advice:

    You could cut a few more corners (i.e. going AM2) but IMO, it wouldn't be worth it.

    yep that looks a little off to me, it should be around £60 for 320gb

    £63.31 i make it

    Makes a new total of £367.88 which is £128.90 cheaper!!!

    nice saving lol, you could upgrade to a E6700


    Also why is it that you have picked that motherboard, looks a bit overkill a DS3 would be fine for about £60ish

    Hi all. Thanks a lot for the tips, really appreciate. And today only is fantastic!

    Anyway - re: the hard drives, it's two for a RAID0 0 array. Also, tigerboyce, the DS3 isn't much cheaper considering with the P35C DS3R you get Penryn support, better quad core overclocking, and support for DDR2 and DDR3.

    Thanks again guys, will report back tomorrow with my final spec!
