Upgrading to core2duo which motherboard and ram?

Hi
Im about to upgrade to Core2DUo especially with ddr2 prices as they are and the google checkout 10 pound offer is hard to resist.

Im having trouble deciding on the motherboard and memory to go with an e6600 cpu

for the memory Id like to get OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 CL 4-4-4-15 PLATINUM XTC with LIFETIME WARRANTY

Im just wondering if this memory is a good match with the e6600 seeing as it has quite a high mulitplier will I need good overclocking ram to get to about 3.2 ~ 3.3 GHz or is this memory too high spec?

Im just not sure if its worth it to get the older board with more features or a newer board that is more future proof but without the features. I think in overclocking potential they are about the same? Im not going to use RAID or dual graphics cards setups. Ill just be using a single x1900xt in this system. The wifi might be handy but thats about all I can think of.
I will be using a Scythe Ninja on these motherboards just in case any of you know if it wont fit on either of them.

You might need to get the bios flashed on the motherboard to accept the x1900xt, I think there was some problem with the bios and ATI cards not playing nice until they had been updated.

Ram is fine.

Not much in it really with the two boards, P5B deluxe has more features. Will you be buying a penryn? If so, go for the p5k.
