Hey there!
Just bought a Microsoft VX-3000 webcam but the quality is really poor, it randomly changes hues of the whole image, there are green spots and the general image is just of really poor quality. So, looking to spend up to £35 on a good camera really. The *actual* budget was £10 - £15 but there you go (got the VX-3000 for £22 and justified it with the £10 off google offer).
I'll probably be sending that back in the next few days for a refund and was just wondering if anyone had a really good rock solid suggestion for a camera. The Creative Live! Optia looks nice (the old white one - in price range!) but apparently according to a review it doesn't have the best quality:
So where can I get one of these better quality ones for just another $10?As mentioned before, the Live! Cam Optia is a budget webcam. As such, the CMOS sensor is very basic, offering only a 640x480 resolution that's on par with other budget webcams as well as those built into a few computers. For another $10, you can pick up a 1.3 megapixel camera that will provide a significantly improved picture quality, and typically a wider viewing angle as well.
