I will be using the on board sound for a while so don't worry that it's missed.
Would like to run vista 64bit but have noticed most copys will say 32bit with upgrade to 64 which then means you have to pay even more money and wait 3 months for them to send you a copy, can someone confirm that the 64bit oem copys with scan http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=527300 are full versions of vista 64 and not just an upgrade from 32bit.

i would get the corsair 520w psu will have plenty of power to run your system and save ya £30 also that motherboard is very expensive alot of people are saying the asus p5n wifi deluxe which is £50 cheaper with these savings you could get the 640mb version of the gts which will give some more grunt.

I probobly will not be doing much in the way of over clocking the mainboard, graghics mabee, but i was under the inpression that the nvidia 680i would be the best mobo for a gaming pc? looks like i need recomendations.

You'll hit the limit of the CPU before the board in most cases.

I'd have a serious look at the P5K too - not many people saying shabby things about them. P5B-Deluxe for a slightly more mature and safe choice.

Also looking at this page can someone confirm that the vista 64 bit oem version isn't just an upgrade from 32 bit, only £4 difference has got me worried that if i get the 64 bit version it'll turn up only for me to discover i need the 32 bit disc.

But that is still a little more than the gigabite board that has ddr3 and sli, but in the past my pc's have only used asus so i'm not familiar with the quality of gigabite.

Don't got DDR3 yet - it's too expensive (especially given the current prices of DDR2) and isn't as fast. DDR2 is still comfortably the sweet spot.

I wasn't planning on getting ddr3 yet, i was just saying that the cheaper gigabite board has features the asus doesn't have and with the ddr3 and sli it's future compatible as it were, more easily upgraded in the future. But not having a great deal of knowledge about gigabite or this board just trying to find out if it's a viable alternative.
Also anyone with an answer to my vista 64 bit question would be apreciated.

Dont...the Enermax PSUs are great.

I would however go ith the Infinty rather than the Liberty though.
IMHO the new Infinity Series is the best thing since the Corsairs and should take over the Best PSU mantle from Corsair.

I agree. I'm on my 5th Enermax right now and have no. 6 winging its way through the mail. Never had a problem with any of them and I expect the next one, an Infiniti 720W, to be the best yet. The Liberty will no doubt be enough for your system though, so I'm not sure the extra expense is worth it unless you plan to go quad core at some later point.

Thanks for the help guys, will opt for a smaller psu for now as will not be going quad core, for a long while at least. If in the futere i decide to upgrade i'll look at my system again then, for now though happy you've saved me a bit more
