    get a E4300 (if overclocking) or a e6600 to save £

PSU, im not sure about OCZ, but Seasonic and Corsair are very good, why not get a 500-600 watt psu? im sure it will power all of that

mobo wise, imo it would be better to go for a P35 Chipset, or a strong P965 board such as the Abit QuadGT or P5b Deluxe

how much is that gfx card?

£389 exluding tax. I am going for it because the bfg oc2 is always out of stock and so is the evga ko.
So the xfx is the one and it gooes like the wind.

ok i will look at a good croshair or seasonic psu cheers .

Also in the future i will probaly look to go sli.

do u think there is much differnce between the e6600 and the e6700?

cheers and everyone else thought wud be awesome

    thanks

gamexstream is fine, only problem i can see is that it isnt modular but thats ok. drop the e6700, and get a lower one, which you can overclock if you can. although if you arent overclocking then keep it i guess. drop the overclocked gfx card and get a bfg one. no need for factory overclocking it just adds £££ to the price. memory's good, crucial ballistix is also good ram if you can get it. nice case and the rest is ok

i thought modular is worse for your components (cnt remember why), ill look for that article later

the differnce between the e67 and e6600 is the multiplier, but its easily overclockable to e 6700 speeds anyways and you save money in the process...

389 excl TAX!?!?! OMG!! LOL, why dont you get a stock 768mb 8800gtx? i suppose its up to you, but spending so much on todays technology to find out tomorow its last generation will be a kick in the pants when spending that much what monitor will you be using? perhaps a 512mb card will suffice

cheers man thanks for your input. I think ni might go for the e6600 and overclock it rather then spending the 50 odd £££ getting the e6700.

no overlcocked graphics card ok i guess it does add up the money but then i was thinking if i overclcok my self they mite viod my warranty so i thought getting pre clock wud stop that kind of issue. Then also you say get bfg that is wat i want it is just it is hard to find the oc2 version. While writing this i take it back i have a scan up on my over monitor and i can see that they are now in stock so i think i will go for that i do not need to splash out for xfx one.

Yeah i liked the case i want one with a window tbh minaly because i want to see my compents if they high end products y hide them hey

i will also get a sound card but not untill my next pay check lol this is a hefty price any way .

cheers again all and more comments wud be awesome

modular myths seem bs to me. i prefer it after using the non modular ones for so long. the wiring is soo much easier. any overclocking voids warranty, except factory overclocking. graphics card overclocking doesn't damage your card if you know how ie ntune and not doing stuff like volt modding. plus bfg are more lenient than xfx when it comes to overclocking. xfx are more likely to refuse your rma if the card has been overclocked. a stock bfg would save you money and, its more powerful than anything you will probably need to do right now. if you want more power then get a hd2900xt ati card. tom's hardware has shown it beats he 8800, plus its like £100 - 150 cheaper. although you'll need the 8 pin connector or you can use the converter.

heh, i know the feeling. i just prefer a green nvidia card. as for heatsink, i'd say thermalright ultra 120, but hexus just did a massive test with alot of coolers and it wasn't top. but mine keeps my cpu cool. although it is alot for £35 for just the heatsink, but i got a £6 fan to use with it so its not that bad.

i will have a look at some cpu coolers i think i will have to put some nice atric 5 on the cpu i put it on my last one and it was very good thermal paste

Doing what exactly?? If you mean 3DMark 06, maybe but then the card appears heavily optimized to do just that. If you mean in terms of actual real world game performace, the 8800GTX is still a lot better, especially at high AA settings or lots of things on the screen.

well what do you think futuremark made 3dmark for... its to test the power of the graphics card. i see and your saying that ati made a card just to score high 3dmarks, but do jack in real game performance? lol get real. although its only a 3dmark06 test its a minor piece of evidence that it is superior to the gts and almost past the gtx, at almost half the price. and ati managed to get some good drivers going pretty quick. pity nvidia couldnt do the same when they had the 8800gtx out.

The latest review from techspot (came out couple of days ago so probably with newer drivers) shows the 2900XT to be pretty quick and comparable to a 8800GTX in some cases:

    http://www.techspot.com/review/52-as...eon-hd-2900xt/

Personally i would go for the 8800GTX if money werent the issue but i would definitely go for the 2900XT over an 8800GTS.

there another review showing the hd2900xt is doing good, but then that would be ati designing it just to run good in those certain games wouldnt it Lucio? I think its called optimizing. heard of that lately?
