What DVD+-RW drive?

I got about £120 to sped on a DVD-RW drive (i will need some media too) what would people recomend? Was looking at the LiteOn 8x Dual format jobbie. Also any particular media better than the rest?

Ive never had probs with lite on in the past with there CD drives, using a Sony DVD writer atm and that is pretty good, I think you can get the OEM versions pretty cheap now. In my experiance you cant go wrong with Sony / NEC

I think there's a new NEC drive now called the ND 2500 it claims to do 8x -R and +R. Though I haven't seen any reviews yet.

I've got the LiteOn 8x drive. Burnt around a dozen DVDs with it so far and it's worked every time.

Before buying, I checked out the reviews and it got very good write-ups, with very impressive reliability and speed when burning DVDs. It also burns CDs at 40x, which is very good compared to most DVD burners.

The retail version comes with mySonic DVD suite and a blank DVD+RW disc. It only burns DVD+R at 8x though, DVD-R burns at 4x.

Still, a very good drive. Finally I can give up using my rubbish old Sony CD burner.
