have you thought about using a plastic bag there's no rules saying you have to use a case you can just carry each component seperately and plug it in when your there

When my Dad got his Gigabyte MB a couple of years ago, the box it came in could be used to test it! It had a couple of holes you could pop out to fit a HDD and DVD drive, sit the MB on top and place the PSU next to it. Viola, a small semi-portable PC with open-air cooling.

Gerrard; is the very front of the case aluminium or plastic?

Thinking of some exhaust fans. Since it's a back to front, maybe one at the top near the back to let hot air escape from near the fans, and something in one of the 5.25" bays.

But then there's the issue of too much negative pressure. Maybe another intake over the CPU. But then that's what, 5 fans. Maybe excessive?

The whole front panel is aluminium...except for the power button! Apparently there's a mod to replace it with metal one though somewhere.

As for the airflow, as I said, I have the 120 intake fan, followed by my Noctua 120mm HSF (lines up rather well with the intake one). I put an Antec Cyclone Blower in the top 2 slots that seems to expels all the hot air from my graphics card. When I was looking at it I found this 25 page thread of people modding it various ways (like WC etc.). I have found this setup fine for me with only 1 HDD.

The only problem being is I have two PCI expansion cards , so I was thinking instead just drilling a 120mm hole in the top of the case near the GPU and putting a fan in it!

Just out of curiosity, what are you putting in the front bays? I don't know whether my black plastic DVDRW will go in nicely lol.

Oh the button - do you mean this?

Yeah, a button similar to that. Again, Kustom PCs do a range of Bulgin switches that work quite well here. A tad expensive though at £15, but I would imagine they do look good.

There's enough clearance at the top to put in a 120mm blowhole quite easily. In fact, you could probably do 2! There's also a Lian-Li BS01 blower that fits by the side of the cards that could help. Unfortunately, it looks like Kustom are out of stock on that case and as you have found, very few places seem to stock it now.

At the moment, I have a black DVD drive and floppy drive in there along with a Scythe fan controller. The controller has a silver plate so matches well, the black drives do stand out. However, you can get bezel covers for Lian-Li cases that should do a good job covering them.

EDIT: Managed to find one here at Advance TEC. Never used them before so have no idea what they're like, but it doesn't say out of stock.
