I don't know what theyre called. they are like a normal screw head but have a six pointed star configuration for the slot instead of the usual cross and flat head.
It is a torx screw (godbless wikipedia lol) so how do I undo it? do I need a special torx screwdriver or can I just custom on quickly it is only 6 screws that need to be removed

Do me and Agent win a fiver?
ok now how do I undo it....... without a torx screwdriver
You can try to do it with a flat head the exact size of the threads, but I doubt you will be able to get enough pressure on if its not already lose.
You'll probably end up threading it with anything but a torx driver. You got any car mechanics sets about? Most of those have one in
Yes. Yes we do!
I will have a look through the garage in a minute I would be surprised if we do have one as I have never seen the screw before
Some people, like Uri Geller, can undo them using their mind.
I would like to donate my prize money to your Torx driver fund.
I have a flat head which is a mm too big and another which is a mm to small I swear the toolbox is just trying to anger me!!!
Get yourself off to your local pound shop they should have a set of torx allen keys for the glorious sum of £1.
What you do with the remaining £4, well I'll leave that to Clunk
I live in the south we don't have many pounlands, poundworlds, poundshops I think I have only seen one and it was closed down for dealing drugs
Halfords, Maplin or RS all sell Torx drivers. Halfords used to do a set that were L shaped (like Allen keys) ir you can get a dedicated driver of the right size from Maplins or RS. The dedicated driver will have a longer reach.

glad you enjoyed it agent but it really was closed down for drug dealing it happened in an alley in the back it was the place to go if you wanted drugs for years bastars never sold it for a quid a pop though
Am I the only one who is just slightly curious as to why you would possibly want to open up your speakers? The fact that you have never seen a torx screw before worries me about you messing with electrics...
