    Asus DRW-0402P/D (Pioneer 106)

    Are there any advantages /disadvantages of buying a Asus DRW-0402P/D which is a "cloned" Pioneer 106

    Probably not, There are only like 4 manufacturers of cd/dvd technology out there, Pioneer is one of them afaik and i'd doubt its any different from the pioneer one.

    I suspect you could flash the firmware, to make it into a 106, but you might have to look into it.

    www.cdrinfo.com is a good start.
