Steel Case? Please help
The case I want to get : the X-Viper is a steel case. I've never heard of this anywhere else but a friend told me you have to be careful because they can get magnetized and cause problems. Is there any truth to this? Also if you could look at the case and tell me if anything else looks bad that would be appreciated, but I really need to know if steel case = bad?

Thanks guys

Steel case = fine in mine and probably quite a few others opinions, chap.
Steel is and has been pretty much the standard material for cases to be built with - so unless your cases have all been made of aluminium/perspex/wood in the past, you shouldn't have had any previous problems either.
I can see where he's coming from with what he's saying, but if magnetized steel cases were to have caused any major problems over the years, they wouldn't have become industry standard. :)
Hope that helps a little.

Thanks a million Theo. I thought as much, but I just wanted to make sure!

cases do not magnatise. mainly becuase of the fact they should be grounded by the psu and there are no magets near the case that arent shielded (hdd's)

For some strange reason i get a small electric shock (static?) from mine, in the top corner above the PSU. I usually get it if i touch it with the underneath/middle of my forearm whne plugging cables in. Probably wouldnt notice to touch with my finger <---- in fact i just tried and i don't!
