Selling my X1950XT soon and will be getting an 8600GT, MSI and Leadtek seem to be the two manufacturers I will have to choose between so... which has better CS of the two ? Both have 2 year warranty AFAIK and are the same price.

Why the 8600? Your X1950XT will give better results than the 8600 in current games.
I have trouble OCing my C2D with the X1950XT. Im certain it's the X1950XT holding me back, tried OCing with a 7800GT and I could hit higher speeds more stably.
Plus I wanna overclock the crap out of the 8600GT

i don't understand how the gpu will limit a cpu or memmory overclock ?
or have thinks changed since i was overclocking my amd to 2.8 ???

I would suggest heat might be the problem, if you reckon the psu is fine
If you're gaming at any resolution, stick with what you've got, even if you have to underclock the CPU. The X1950XT will simply murder any 8600.
If it's more 2D you're looking at, then I doubt you'll see that much of an improvement, if any, by changing cards. You'd probably be better off looking at the bigger picture and improving the air-flow through your case, and as Blitzen says the PSU.
It's not often heat is the limitation of a C2D overclock. They can withstand Prescott-like temps without kicking up a fuss. And that's saying something.
Heat - X1950XT goes to 60 Load. E4300 goes to 45 load.

The passive heat from the 1950 to the chipset was more along what I was thinking
Well my P965 board with X1900XT doesn't suffer from the heat in a not-particularly well cooled (4 silent 80mm fans) full-tower. The stock cooler won't cause any difference in the slightest. An Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 will increase the chipset temperature though as it dumps the heat straight onto the motherboard.
Well to answer your original question, either will do as they will be reference boards with MSI/Leadtek stickers on.
I understand that but whats Leadteks CS like compared to MSIs ?
Oh and also it could have been my chipset acting up, i put my finger on it the other day and it nearly burnt me ! And that was when it was idle OCed to 2.6GHz :/
Ive now stuck an 80mm fan on top of it blowing some air on it shud hopefully cool it down and ill see if that cures the problem.

Only used Leadtek, I did have to return a 4200 and it was handled pretty good returned with 5 days. However your warranty return will be with the supplier as there is one year warranty on these. If you want better CS/Warranty then look to XFX UK based and 2 year warranty or BFG Lifetime warranty with returns handle by BFG Europe(thinkits Germany they are returned to) 5 day turn around for BFG .
Well with regards to me not being able to OC; it's my card or the PSU. Tried same settings for system with an X1950XT (overclock to 2.7GHz) and it didnt boot, tried with a 6200 TC I have lying around and it booted fine with exactly the same settings.
