I am looking at the Thermaltake W0116RU 750W Power Supply:

I was originally looking at the 620W Corsair, but the PNY Quadro 4600 says it needs a 750W supply. I am looking for something quality , stable, modular cabled, and QUIET. Any thoughts?
possibly an 850W Galaxy if you can afford it, or possibly an s12 750 if they make one. ALso may wnna consider PC P&C 750W Silencer; probably the best PSU's out there and now part of ocz, or ya could get an ocz ****Xtreme.
Dont buy a thermaltake, they tend to be a bit rubbish from what ive seen.

The new TT's (as that one is) are OK.
Unfortunately though, in the past, TT have had a reputation of churning out utter rubbish so personally i wouldnt give them a penny.
There is more 'reputable' PSUs out there for less money.
Enermax Infinty should really be at the top of most enthusiasts list atm.
It is more than ready to take the crown away from Corsair imho.
i personally would steer well clear of thermaltake PSUs.
If you are using a workstation-level graphics card (PNY quadro), then you do want to protect your investment by using a high quality power supply.
i would get a seasonic over all others. the premium is saved in silent operation, and rock solid voltages.
I have a thermaltake and it has been fine, but i agree there is better ones for the same money.
having looked a bit further I think what you need to know is the 12 volt rail requirement rather than just "750" watts.

Quadro pre purchase questions they might give a better idea and indeed suggest a PSU.
The old thermal-takes got a fiiar bit of flak, but this was mainly due to the price:what-you-got ratio.
They were not the best PSUs for high-end systems, but you didn't have to worry about them blowing up like Q-tecs.
Don't get me wrong, they were over-priced for what they were and didn't provide much in the way of features, but they were reliable :)

The old TT's had a habit of taking various pieces of hardware with them when they smoked. :(

All manufacturers have the odd (or not so odd) sub-standard product line. Funny how some people can't let things go and still harp on about "brand X is utterly crap" forever and ever although current products from the same manufacturer are just fine. The Toughpowers from Tt are excellent PSUs, something that's confirmed by every review they've been a subject of. Seasonic make some excellent PSUs too, but they certainly have their share of duds like every other brand.
The Toughpower 750W will serve you as well as any similarly powered PSU out there. If you want something better, the only options are PC Power & Cooling or an Enermax.
