Webcam suggestions

Hey there!

Just bought a Microsoft VX-3000 webcam but the quality is really poor, it randomly changes hues of the whole image, there are green spots and the general image is just of really poor quality. So, looking to spend up to £35 on a good camera really. The *actual* budget was £10 - £15 but there you go (got the VX-3000 for £22 and justified it with the £10 off google offer).

I'll probably be sending that back in the next few days for a refund and was just wondering if anyone had a really good rock solid suggestion for a camera. The Creative Live! Optia looks nice (the old white one - in price range!) but apparently according to a review it doesn't have the best quality:

As such, the CMOS sensor is very basic, offering only a 640x480 resolution that's on par with other budget webcams as well as those built into a few computers. For another $10, you can pick up a 1.3 megapixel camera that will provide a significantly improved picture quality, and typically a wider viewing angle as well.

So where can I get one of these better quality ones for just another $10?

I have this one and have had no problems with it what so ever however slightly over you budget even with the google checkout offer.

See, I would go with it, but after seeing the quality of the VX-3000 it's put me off the microsoft cameras. Also, the reviews are a bit iffy for it, in a 'you can do better for the money' way.

I have no more suggestions mate as this was my first cam and i'm happy with it, can only suggest you look at logitech as they supposedly make good cameras to

Heard recommendations for this one already on online reviews (but most reviews are biased in favour anyway - ever noticed a review with less than 5/10? )

So 'get it bought' I guess is a concise way of saying 'it's a very good camera for the money and is your best bet'?
