Was just wondering what you guys thought is a good HSF for the Intel Q6600? Preferably without breaking the bank and that is not going to take ages to get hold of!

something in the scythe range. The mine perhaps..
I got a Scythe ninja the other week which is pretty damn good.
Thermalright xtreme 120?
Both seem good suggestions how are they for fitting in a lian li PC-60? Being a vertical case and that?
Hanked in an Ultra-120 Extreme myself. Didn't dare to do otherwise, seeing as how Clunk jabbers on about how hot his one is. His CPU that is.
:D
what about the coolermaster geminII, all that metal and all those heatpipes must be good for something.
lol anyway back to the topic and not clunks CPU
whats the difference between the ultra 120 and the ultra 120 extreme and does any no if the current suggestions will fit in my case? (see my system or previous posts)
More pipes.
Agrippa fitted one in his case, the same as yours.
and where may i get one of these beasts?
Pretty much anywhere except scan, cause they wont stock them.
Haven't fitted it yet, I'm scheduled to build the new comp early next week. It's a real beast though and should perform damn well. The difference between the Ultra and the Ultra Extreme is 4 more heat pipes on the Extreme, 2 on each side.
so have you got the Lian-li PC-60 case then? Does it have one of these lovely back plates to fit to?
Seriously take a look at the winner of our group test.
Me personally, I run a Q6600, but mine is watercooled using the all-in-one £100 Corsair Nautillus kit, currently idle at 23 degrees....rest of system, see my system under my user name
must have missed that review
