And a PNY Quadro 4600 on the way.

Thoughts? I was toying with a 680i SLI MB. Would there be any advantage besides the SLI (which I really cant afford to fill the other slot ATM)?
I used to have something here.

    i would get a p35 board like p5k.
i would not get the qx6700 - any other core2quad (including s775 quad core xeons) would be better for you.

I also think you need to be adding more hard drive space - 2xraptors are a good starting point, but id only have one for the system + a couple of 500gb's in raid0 (as you are making a professional system the faster writes will be beneficial)
and i would consider a seasonic psu rather than ocz (personal preference).

    hope this helps.

Thanks for the input, I ill look at the cooling and MB/chip choice a bit more. I might be limited on PSU choices since the GFX card says 750W mi. I had another post that discussed PSUs. I just need to follow up on why they want that, and if there is a better spec to look at to be sure they get what they need.

Any particular CPU you would recommend?
