recording from Sky+ to pc?

Is this possible? I've got some recordings on Sky + I want to record onto DVD.

I was looking at some cheap USB Pinnacle thing that looked like it would do the trick, and means I don't have to drag my PC across to the sky box, just use my laptop.

What's the best kit for taking a feed from a HDR for recording to disk?

Quality wise the consumer grade devices are pretty much the same.

If you are concerned about quality though, you might want to try and capture uncompressed (if you have the space) and then use one of the high quality MPEG-2 encoders to put it on DVD.

EDIT: you want to use s-video if you can
