It uses 80mm fans - that would put me off using it.

Built 2 machines with this case and they're not bad (bit plasticky in real life) and they do look good !! They do use 80mm fans but there is 4/5 of them so airflow is ok if a little noisy !! Probably a bit highly priced for what you get to be honest !

it's all personal preference really. i think that case looks kind of ugly. most of us got the antec nine hundred so that indicates its a good case

80mm fans have to spin much faster to push the same amount of air than a 120mm fan. so they make more noise and probably cant move as much air as the 120mm ones unless they are really high rpm fans.

and wow, its £60 at ebuyer.... £10 more and you can get the antec 900. antec 900 anyday!

colossus would you advise replacing the fans with some branded quieter ones?

I put in Sharkoon golf balls for one of the builds but they're not cheap !! You're into the grounds pricewise of some much better built cases then - Lians, coolermasters and indeed the Antec 900 (to be honest, not my favourite really !!), but if you're hearts set on ithis case then it will quieten down a fair bit with good aftermarket fans. The Blue one (built with a black also) was particularly good looking !!

i was on a Xaser III for ages, which looks every so vaguely similar

changed it after i got disgusted with the tackiness of it.
it also used 80mm fans, and they were monstrously loud!

Moogle is right, ultimately choosing a case is a personal preference; whether you choose it coz of its appearance or for cooling reasons. The antec 900 is an excellent case - for cooling reasons and also looks the part as well!

However im sure there are people out there that disagree with me, personally i think the antec looks better than the aspire does, but if you have ur heart set on the aspire then go for it mate!

I agree with what the guys above said about 80mm fans.

I used to have (actually still have but don't use it) a SuperFlower Aluminium case with 6 80mm fans.

It was still noisy when I swapped them with quieter fans. Had to get a fan controller in the end.

    Urgg, looks hideous!!

I used to have a 'flashy' case with bells and whistles and coloured temp display monitor on front etc ... ditched it for ugliness...go with something simpler and classier, you won't regret it

I've gotta say, I've already told him this. Repeatedly.

I suggested P182, Antec Sonata, Eclipse. Still prefered that

If you like the dials, look at the Coolermaster one, the Cavalier possibly? Still uses 80mm fans, but is likely to be built better...
