Does anyone know (or if you have it) if it runs the fan and fans connected to it after shutdown to aid in cooling everything down, my current PSU does and am wondering if this does too as its a nice feature to have. I've looked around and can't find any info mentioning it so have assumed it doesn't.
If not do you know of any other PSU that is similar spec (and price) and does this.? Only other one I found is the 650W Enermax Infiniti but it is a bit more expensive.

No need, after shutdown the ICs are switched off, so only the residual heat in the heatsinks need to be passively dissipated, everything usually reaches ambient temperature a little over 10 minutes.

I've seen a few PSUs do this. Some even have dedicated 'Fan' molex headers which stay on for a few mins after the system is shutdown.
I suppose its a nice feature, but unneeded.
Ah ok, well I've always assumed that the active cooling that goes on after shutdown helps component life as well, but perhaps the difference isn't that great with just the heat sinks doing their work.
Well as soon as its powered off, the temp can only ever go down.
Its no different to the CPU being cooler when its at no load compared to full load, life wise. The fan being on doesn't change this
IIRC its only the Enermax Noisetakers that do this.
(Not certain but i havent heard of others doing it).
The Enermax Infiniti's are the ones that have dedicated system for things like the cpu fans etc.. to keep running for a while after shutdown iirc. The Noisetakers just keep the PSU fans going for a couple of mins.
my hyper type-r will keep its fans on until its cool enough, i think
