Anybody know if the paste included with Thermalright heat sinks (or at least the Ultra-120 Extreme) is any good, or is it just the crappy, generic stuff?

Dunno, never used it (and yes, I've got a thermalright heatsink)
I ordered Artic Silver 5 with mine...
That's not really of any use then, is it?
I'm just saying, that however good it maybe, it is unlikely to be better than AS5 or AS Ceramique...
I seem to remember someone saying it was shinetsu for a while...ive got a few tubes of it here, but never tried it.
Try it and let us know
Roger, will do. I've got 7 different tubes/syringes here including the Tr stuff, so it'd be a waste getting yet another really. Thing is, I can't be arsed testing it vs something else, so of what use the result will be.....
Btw - the others are: Nanotherm Blue and Ice, AS3, AS Alumina + Thermaltake and Zalman with no names. Any of those any good at all?

i'll have any nobody wants. Had a load of it but after selling xp-90 & ultra 120 i'm out of it. Guess i'm just to generous when floggin off bitsive got a few tubes of it here, but never tried it.
I found it to be very good stuff. Have never been arsed to do comparisons but have seen decent temps with it.
Old, but worth a look.
Clunk to the rescue again! Thanks man, that was very useful indeed. No need to go out and get an 8th tube of grease then as far as I'm concerned.
Oh so i was close then am using ceramique atm got a couple of tubes for my ek gfx block, after i'd sold the thermalright
