Go for the 2 * 3200, always worth a bit of extra future proofing even if you ain't gonna use the extra speed imo
Thanks, for the info. I'm also looking at two diff mobo's; what is the difference between the Asus 875P Chipset Motherboard for Intel Socket 478 CPU, Model "P4C800-E DELUXE" -RETAIL and the ASUS Motherboard for Intel Pentium 4 / Celeron -Processors, 800Mhz FSB Model# P4P800 Deluxe Retail?
It depends what system you are going to be running it all in, If you are going to be putting a 800fsb p4c class chip in the p4c800-E deluxe then you have to have 3200 memory to put in it.

Achaelus i get the impression that your not really looking to overclock so perhaps its better to save the moment and get a cheaper make. Perhaps like Twinmos (although this is fading nowadays), Adata (recommended), Winbond or maybe Samsung.
If you are dead set on spending money have a look at Corsair stuff too.
I'd also agree with Knoxville that you should go for the x2 512mb sticks of pc3200.
In terms of overclocking, I may not jump into that right away...however, as I learn more what I'm doing, I want to have that option. So, in terms of suggestions, I do want to overclock with this machine going in the near future. Also in terms of oc'ing, I had someone suggest the Abit AI7 mobo as opposed to either of the Asus boards I've mentioned. Any suggestions on that front?
