    Scythe Mine users PLEASE HELP!

After much shopping around, I opted for the Scythe Mine cooler on my E6420 (currently at only 2.6Ghz )
I took the stock cooler off last night, cleaned the chip, all ready to install the Mine...

Ive put the socket 775 fitments on the side of the HSF, but how the furk do you push the pins into the board? You cant get on top of the clips with your fingers to press them down? There just isn't room to press them into the mobo?

There are the 4 bolts on top of the unit, if I undo these, can I pull the "fin" section apart from the base, which will allow me to seat the HSF? Then put the fins back on? I haven't tried it, but it looks like you can pull the fin section away from the base???

Can someone advise on the best way to install it?

    Thanks in advance

I haven't used the Mine, but the Ninja was awkward to get at too. You might be able to catch the edges of the push pins with a couple of fingernails?

It sounds like you are trying to fit it with the motherboard still in the case - you will probably find it a whole lot easier with the motherboard removed.

    Edit: Don't remove the bolts...
