    Talking Power Supply Choice Help?

Hey Guys, I am new in here and this is my first post. Hopefully this is the right place to ask my question. I am building a new system and I need help on picking up a Power Supply. The reason I haven't bought one is because I am waiting for Intel's X38 Chipset Release. I was think maybe there might be some Voltage difference. But I guess I was wrong. From what I have read around, Whatever Power Supply I buy SHOULD Work with Intel's Upcoming Bearlake-X (X38) Platform. If this is true can you guys please recommend me a good power supply.

So far in my Blue Print, this is the Config I have so Far:

CPU - Dual or Quad Core
    Motherboard - Intel or Asus
    DDR2 or DDR3 Memory Chip
    Nvidia 8800 Graphic Card
    DVD-Writer (SATA)
    CD-Writer/DVD-ROM (SATA)
    WD Raptor HD (SATA)
    Plus 3+ HD (SATA)

This is what I have so far. I might Add More stuff later. So if you guys can recommend me a good PS, It would really help me out.

Thank You for all your help,

    P.S. Fusion

As everybody, I would imagine, from previous threads like yours it will be the following:

Corsair HX 620 Modular, very well respected by the Hexus members.

Enermax Infiniti 720 watt: Modular triple rail 28 amps 28 amps and 30 amps. Solid bild and has the new 8 pin connector for PCI-e 2.0.

I have the Infiniti and it has proven solid and reliable. See system for my spec.

3 months ago i would've gone for the Corsair aswell.....Not anymore....

The Infiniti series from Enermax is the best available at around £100 now.

The Corsairs are great... Poor connectors though...thats another reason why the Infinti wins out.

i dont have any issues with the connectors - yes there could possibly be 2x more pci-e connectors, but the others with the funny 'easy release' mechanism on them are just what you get nowadays, isnt it?

oh, lets not forget the 5y warranty.

Sorry but the Corsair connectors do feel cheap and arent very strong. The unit is fine though.

Haha........basically fella the connectors aren't as good a quality as either the Hiper (poor PSU but good connectors) or the Enermax's.
    Thats a fact.

Just wondering what earned me the honour of being quoted in Blitzen's sig? I don't mind, I'm just vaguely curious is all.

Christ... I haven't seen many PSU fanboys in my time, but Blitzen's sure heading that way.
