Intel Core 2 Duo E2160 better than any celeron?

    Hi

I'm sure it is but before a recommend my mate to get one to replace his current 2.66ghz celeron D I thought I'd check with you guys as I couldn't find a comparision.

I expect I'll overclock the hell out of it for him but I'm really interested in stock performance comparision.

    Cheers

it will be leaps and bounds better just be sure that the board that it is going into can support the chip.

I would imagine it would be like comparing an Amiga to an Xbox 360

Well maybe not that good, but definitely leaps and bounds faster - compare that Celeron to a pentium 4 and then the pentium 4 to C2D.
