    Prepare to drool...

    Hey Guys,

Just thought I'd show some pictures of the rig I built for a mate today...prepare to drool...

    Specs:

    P182 (I think)
    Corsair HX520 PSU
    Core2Duo E6600 @ 2.4ghz
Scythe Ninja HS & 120mm Fan
    4gb (4x1gb) DDR2-6400 (800mhz)
    BFG 8800 GTS 320 OC
    P5B Deluxe WiFi
    2x250gb RAID0 OS drive
    1x400gb Storage drive
    1xLightscribe DVD-RW (SATA)
    1xDVD-RW/RAM (SATA)

One thing that surprised me was how shiny the case was:

Temps were pretty damn good, 31C idle, all fans as low as they go

    Very nice rig...

But isn't it better to have the CPU fan on the memory side blowing air towards the back of the case?

Theres another 120mm fan at the top, and even if I wanted to, as the first (or fourth, depending on how you count them) dimm blocks the 120mm fan

Nice stuff, I got a p182 black as well, its a really neat case, I heard that by blocking the top hole and placing the fan in the VGA cooler spot you can get lower temps though, also maybe move the fan on the ninja to face the back so the airflow is from front to back.

Built one almost the same last week. My ninja has the fan pointed towards the back as suggested and runs around 18 - 19 degrees ..

    quiet isn't it

I do like the sticker (or what looks like a sticker) on the GPU cooler, "8800 FTW" hehe

Heh, the best sticker he got was OMGWTFBFG(something)

@IBM - yea, I built the rig as he tends to stick with what he's got, doesn't change individual bits, just builds a new PC every 3 years or so. With that in mind, P35 wasn't worth the agro. Looked at raptors also, but they were too small, so went for RAID0 instead.

Oh, and he games at 1024x768 (out of choice apparently) and so a 640mb GTS would have been wasted lol
