    compro dvb-t300 videomate picture quality

Hi guys. I've built my system now and I have installed my compro dvb-t300 videomate tv card. I've connected it to my sky box with a scart to composite lead and the picture quality is less than satisfactory. Quite bitty and blurred during motion. I've heard that s-video connectors give better quality, and I'm about to pop out and get a scart to s-video adapter so I can test that out, but am I just wasting my time? Is this particular tv card just rubbish or something?

yes, s-video should be better. although i have no idea what the analogue components on that card are like, you are right, they could very well be rubbish

Not sure if this helps at all, but connecting an xbox to my dvb-t300 via composite isn't that great either. Not what i'd call satisfactory too.

But I haven't tried any other connection or any other tv card. Although I did once connect my ps2 to an old hauppauge wintv card which I thought was pretty good, definitely better than the xbox on compro card. Perhaps the analogue components (or maybe just for composite) are quite poor.

There's a large thread you can read through on the tv-cards.com forums, in the Compro forum.
