but was wondering if it was worth the extra £40odd over the p5b deluxe, or the gigabyte ds4
Any help is appreciated, thanks

I'd go with the P5K Deluxe if it were my system. It probably has more features than he will ever need and it's certainly pricey but the motherboard is a vital component and could well survive a number of upgrades. At the moment DDR3 memory is too expensive to make the P5K3 worth considering.
I doubt he will regret spending an extra £40 on this mobo but if he has no plans to overclock and won't use RAID, etc then something cheaper would be worth considering.
If he never plans on buying a penryn, then the P5B is probably a better buy for most people, from a value for money perspective anyway.
Yeah the P5K is for those desperate folks that need to update their PC regularly.
I know, I'm one.
