Looking for a device, do you know the name of it?

    Hi,

I hope I've go the right forum.

A few weeks ago there was a review on the main page of a NAS type device that was considered by the designers\manufacturers to be 'intelligent' (or at least the software was), ISTR it was a small black box with I think green lights on (I might be getting confused with a certain games console).#

You could insert a harddrive into the unit and it would recognise the size of the drive and build an array of sorts to take advantage of the new found space, likewise you could put in a smaller drive and it would rebuild the array to make use of the lower capacity drives.

Can anyone tell me what the device was called please?

    Thank you.

    Yes, it was the Drobo.

I was hoping they would have advanced the international shipping option, but it seems they are having a few problems in that area. Oh well, I shall just have to wait and see what happens.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
