    Partition on RAID?

If I put 2 drives in RAID 0, can I still put a partition on them, and will this effect performance or speed? Thanks.

You have to partition them, even if its only 1 partition.

RAIDing them just makes a single logical drive out of n physical drives.

Why? I thought drives just needed formating?

This is the first time I am trying RAID, so any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    You format a partition.
Partitions can be any format you like, even different from each other

You always have a minimum of one partition

If you use primary partitions (best way) you can have upto 4 on a drive. your raid is just seen as any other drive & the same rules apply.
