Decent PC Spec for < £400/450

Ok I am looking for a pretty cheap PC specification for around the &#163;450 mark, however it doesnt need to include Windows OS as we lucky students get it free, neither do I need a monitor

Was looking to build it around a C2D (E2160 ? ), 500Gb Harddrive Space, 2Gb DDR2 RAM (as its so cheap atm), DVDRW, pretty case and decent PSU, graphics card isn't too much of a concern at the moment, can always add that at a later date - tho something around the 6600/7600 would be good...

Overclocking would like to have an option.

I have been out of the PC specs and upgrading circle for some time now so have lost a bit of my knowledge. So if you could post decent specs for the price, and list the prices and the source i.e. scan it would all be much appreciated

I was looking for some prebuilt systems, I swear gladiator used to do a good one for a decent price, but they all seem to be around &#163;500 for average specs.

@shaithis Cheers for that looks a great buy will look at my options Also I get free postage, so that brings it down to &#163;450 Just remembered the one I have quickly done doesn't include the optical drive :s

I'd go with the above - faster CPU, better graphics card and better RAM (tighter timings)... all for less money.

I'd second nighshadows suggestion. The only thing you might consider is the corsair hx 520w for your psu this will leave a comfortable amount of room for some of the beefier graphics cards you might want later and is only around &#163;20 more.

Good thinking Mike, I've edited and met you half way with a 480W Tagan to keep it under the &#163;450 mark.

Yeah Nightshadows spec looks very good for the budget although I would still try and get the corsair psu if you can, Ive had bad experiences with Tagan PSU's but that might just be me
