Medion MD98300 Laptop with Turbocache question??

hi guys, i think im asking in the right place, if not, im sorry. I just bought a medion Md 98300 laptop from aldi, heres the specs

    AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual Core
    Mobile Technologie TL-50 (1.60GHz) OKAY

    120 GB HD

    15,4" TFT WXGA
    Widescreen Display 1280 x 800 px. OKAY
    16:10 Kinoformat

    1024 MB DDR2 SDRAM

    NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 6150 Grafik
    upto 320MB Turbocache

    8x Multi-Standard DVD-/CD-Brenner
    Dual layer dvd

It came with vista home premium. I hate vista, couldnt wait to get it, but having used it, dont like it so i put xp home on there instead, but i found that with vista, my turbocache was working, but with xp home my graphics uses defaul 128 meg instead of a potential 320mb under vista, was wondering is this a driver thing which could be fixed from nvidia, or isnt turbocache avaiable in xp? anyone help me please i find the laptop a heck of a lot faster under xp and games run on it very well especially command and conquer (was very juddery under vista) and if i could get the potential 320 meg no i put the ram up to 2 gig instead of 1, will run even better, i dont really want to put vista back on unless i have to.

thanks in advance for reading my post.

Thanks for the swift reply, these are the current drivers i have installed. on vista, there was an actual section for turbocache, which has vanished since xp home is on there, so i guess it must be a vista orientated problem, a feature xp home hasnt got.

With the right driver you should get the Turbocache options. My go 7400 worked in both xp and vista.

As far as I know Turbocache on XP uses a default of 128mb and then if games need it it will automaticly take more memory from the system upto the max allowed (320mb) and I really doubt that giving the graphics card more memory by default will improve the performance as you will only need large ammounts of memory at higher resolutions, which you won't be using as laptops tft screens have only 1 resolution.

He means they have an optimal resolution, but they will run others and stretch / letterbox them (generally not higher res though)
