Antec PSU's are apparently really good although I'll let someone else confim whether it can handle an 8800GTS.

What monitor do you have by the way?

Personally i dont think its worth going quad till the true quadcores have been released. ATM the quadcore CPUs are 2 duals whacked together. I would say go with the E6600 as its getting pretty cheap now and probs best bang for buck.

What do you use the computer for? that might give us better inducation to its usefullness for u

Yeah it would make sense to wait a few weeks and go quad for the same price but if you want the computer now I wouldn't worry about it - dual core's not fully utilized yet, nevermind quad.

I would say cut down the 8800 to a 1950xt or pro (if you only do a bit of gaming) and put towards a nice 19" TFT. You can compare graphics cards here
(although the 8800GTS is the 640MB version, not 320).

Almost a year ago i went from an old 17" CRT (was really old), to a 19" TFT and it was really good, it was surprising how better the image was. However your CRT could be a decent one.

God knows, probably, but there will be new processors introduced with 1333MHz bus. There will be a 6750 which is equal to 6700, and it's price should be around that of 6600. Anyway, worth the wait
