P4 HT Advice

Hi All

Right im in the market for a new CPU (maybe)
I currently have a 2.4b running at 2.8xx on an Asus P4P800 with 2x512MB Corsair XMS3500
I was considering getting a 2.8c possibly a 3.0c. Anyway what id like to know is Hyper-Threading worth anything ? If so what sort of average percentage of increase am I likely to see ?

Totally depends on what you're running really

Good for SETI though, for example, running two SETIs gives approx a 20% increase in work units per day over just running the one.

There's some good comparisons of P4 Bs and Cs and AMDs on tomshardware.com with benchmarks and plenty of bar graphs, might have to go back a few months though.
