Has anyone had a go at shortening a PSU ATX Cable? These days they come with very long ATX Cable and with a tiny case they take up so much room. I know it voids the warranty. Just interested to know if anyone had done it.

Don't you have an alternative to shortening the cable? What case and psu have you got?
I personally wouldn't shorten the cable as I'm naff at electronics.
Getting the SG03. Have a Corsair PSU. ATX Cable is very long!!
Before you get the garden sheers out just makes sure it can't be routed around the inside of the case and cable tied on in various places. Thats what I normally do...
it seems like i bit of a waste of time/ warranty/ possibly stability tbh - just bundle it together as tight as possible with cable ties and shove it somewhere

Any comination of; Bag ties, gaffer tape, double sided tape
Silverstone PSU with short cables (in case you want to sell the Corsair)

Thanks. Might think about selling my corsair 520 then!!
due to the shape of the sg03 you will almost certainly get a neat finish routing the cable but if you do change the psu maybe change to one mentioned here

That way if you ever want to use the psu in a different system you have both long and short cables
