    ext hdd

    hi can anyone recomend me a enclosure for a PATA HDD thats usb2?

    i looked at this one http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=543134 and was wondering if this is any good?

    the max i will spend is around £22

    I've had an icybox enclosure for about 5years, it packed up the other month, the power unit is kaput. But the enclosure itself was excellent. Mine was usb2 1394, Didn't have a fan, ran great.

    This was as close i can see to my model IcyBox IB351UE-B-BL*Black* inc Blue LED External HDD Case USB2+Firewire1394 for 3.5" Hard Drive PATA

    I have a couple of those, but with USB2 and Firewire. Pretty good boxes.

    difference i think is just 1394, but 1394 is slightly faster i found

    ahh i will only need usb2 has i am hooking up multiple hdd's in a nslu2 aka "slug".
