i noticed 2 slots of 4 pin atx connectors on the p5k mobo.
Does the psu have to be connected to both of thse 4pin slots, or just one of them.

If your PSU has an 8 pin or a 4+4 pin, use those, but otherwise, you can use a 4 pin.
im getin the hx620.
whats that have?
I think it has an 8 pin and a 4 pin.
jus checked
i only have 1 4pin atx connector.
why would you need 2x 4pin atx connectors? or an 8pin
should i buy a molex to 4pin cable? or is there sufficient power for a q6600 that will be OC'd
8pin is supposed to give a more balanced power supply. If using a multi rail 12v supply it's common that 1 rail feeds 1 4pin group, another the 2nd group giving a balanced supply. Mosy of the current asus boards are configured to take either as clunk said.
If you have an 8pin plug use it, if not use the 4pin, wouldn't worry.
alrite cool thanks for your help
