    Overclocking Problem (video)

I have a Point of View 8800 Gts 320mb, i tried overclockingit lately with rivatuner following this guide
    http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=gethowto&howtoID=72

and lately i have been having a problem with games crashing this was at 600 clock 900 memory, i pulled the clocks back to 600 850 and had same problem.

I was wondering could it be crashing because of my drivers and not my overclock, i am using this driver at mo http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php?o...d=756&Itemid=1

also does anyone else have this 8800 card and if so what clocks do you get without problems.
    Thanks

it seems it was the drivers as went to defualt clocks and still crashed so reinstalling 158.19 z-tweaked and see what happens.

Does it do it on all games? Is it after a certain amount of time, or does it do it right away?

I have an 8800 and can happily get 600/1000 out of it, i pushed it up to 640/1100 but that seems to blue screen on me after about 3 hours of gaming.

I was using the latest non-WDM drivers on the nvidia site, which are 158.something and I've not had any problems.

I have been using ati tool to overclock (strange considering it's an nvidia card, but it works nicely)

The official drivers are 158.22 for XP and 158.24 for Vista. I am using 160.02 on XP, but there may be a specific problem with that game.

Have you reported the problem to nVidia?
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

Could be an overheating issue, i tried overnd looked at the temps, they were very high and the system shut down/would crash about 10 seconds into Oblivion.

Might want to try upping the fan speed on the card with ntune (or can you do it with riva?)

Could be the PSU. Do you have another that you can try?

Have you also uninstalled the drivers, then cleaned them with driver cleaner, then installed the latest working, non-beta ones from the nvidia site? Do this first, and then for me, it would be time to check the PSU.

And have you looked for other people with similar problems with that game?

Have you installed the latest chipset drivers?

pretty damn sure its not the psu mate, have lastest chipset drivers, will try driver cleaner and then install video card drivers, but basicly its only on medival 2 now.
