HiperPower PSU replacement

Hi,

I have an order for a PSU, 580W HiperPower HPU-4M580 Black SLi Ready 20 + 24Pins P8 Ready ATX2.2/BTX

Unfortunately this one is out of stock, but I would need to have one by tomorrow.
Now I can go for a replacement. I have looked at a higher model from HiperPower, the 670W.

But are there any other PSUs which you could recommend.
What I'm looking for is something like the one I ordered, 580W HiperPower.
And it should be a quiet one.

Don't bother with that psu period

Corsair 520w or 620w HX whisper would be a much better choice.

Yeah Hiper PSU's are generally not that great, their 12v rails are usually undervolted and they tend to be quite unreliable.

As Mike said the Corsair Psu are very good as are OCZ, Seasonic and Enermax Psu's.

Remember PSU's are one of the most important parts of your system if not the most important part so dont scrimp on what you buy.

A friend of mine has a HiperPower 580, and I liked it because it was so quiet

the corsairs don't produce any audiable noise.. I have the 520w and i've never heard it.

Consider yourself fortunate it was out of stock and pick yourself up a 520W Corsair or an Enermax Inifiti.
At that price, being similar to the Corsair, the Hiper is very littel value and a flaky performer.

Yeah, I had the same PSU die after 6 months and I bought the big daddy of it afterwards (everyone has a failure rate greater then zero, so 1 failure I take with a pinch of salt)........PC became a bit unstable with new PSU in and a few weeks later it went with a massive bang.

Wouldn't touch Hiper again, I am a Seasonic man now I believe that Seasonic also make the Corsair PSUs

Tagan PSUs... *drool*

Out of all the Tagan PSUs I have bought, I've had them running my systems 24/7 and I have never experienced a voltage fluctuation. They have never died for me either.

Just to let you know, I ordered the 620W Corsair HX V2 Series Modular SLi PSU, ATX, EPS 12V, whisper quiet, 5 year warranty

Will have it tomorrow together with my new case.

Apparently HiperPowers are crap... although i've never had problems with mine...

Best going for the more reliable makes though, like you did.

good choice..the 520w is probably a better deal but the 620 will give you a lot of head room
