    which mobo to go for..

i am upgrading my pc and need a mobo that offers good overclocking sata 2 a pci-e full speed <not sli> and 4 ram slots, it could be am2 or c2d price wise i think amd are dropping thier prices so much becuase of c2d it might be cheaper to go am2? any suggestions i am on a budget so need a cheap atx board that offers all that, thanks.

p.s. when i say budget, i mean the cheapest out there that can do all that im not expecting miracles. also i usually shop at scan or ebuyer

How about this http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=605521 it uses the new p35 chipset so it can be used with 45nm quad cores, it should be a decent overclocker since the only visible difference between this and the express versiom are the heatpipes and extra sata ports.

There have been many threads on a similar line and the p-35 chipsets are always those recomended when there's no need for sli.
With that chipset the Abit and gigabyte boards are the popular chioce.

Heres a review for that board http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/ip35economy/ it doesn't have RAID and has the same restart problem as the 965 boards but can be fixed with a bios update.

I bought my first Gigabyte on P35 and am pleased. Wanted to buy Abit before that, but didn't have it on sales here at the time of purchase. Recommend both. I guess BIOS is not a problem at Abit, BUFF?
