    Passive with stock cooler: No.

2nd question what is yate loons?

The Antec Nine Hundred has blue LED fans.

He didn't mention the stock cooler. Yate Loons are a brand of quiet fans BTW.

To the OP - If you are using a program such as RMClock to throttle the CPU speed & volts back when idling then you should be OK with passive.

You may get away with it but i'd be tempted to get yet another yate loon and undervolt it so you have at least some air blowing over it. It won't add to the noise if its the same as all the other fans.

It'll be fine, just check temps now and then

Just to add my $0.02, if you're running a two fans in close proximity to the tower heatsink, I'd also say you were fine. I've been doing that in a P180 with a E6300 for close to 6 months now, and not had any problems with the CPU temps. HTH

I can run my E4300 stock passive with a ninja at stock volts. You can try undervolting it as well mine will go down to 1.09 V stock freqs, orthos stable.
