    Overclocking the 8800GTX

    hi i have a P.O.V 8800GTX and i want to overclock it.

    does anyone know any good guides out there?

    i've only found one:

    Well this looks like an excellent guide.

    I have used ATi Tool to OC my 8800GTX, and use it to automatically apply the OC after system start. I did not know you could perminently save the OC into the GPU BIOS.
    Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

    How about ntune it is made by nvidia and also automatically overclocks your graphics card

    As noted in the original Benchmark Reviews guide posted, and reported all over the Net, OverClocking with nTune appears to be ineffective/unstable/problematic. However with ATiTool and RivaTuner it seems to work well.

    A good (i.e. simple and to the point as is the original Benchmark Reviews guide posted) RivaTuner OC guide might be useful? I have not found one.
