Whats the problem here?

Hi there, just a few pieces of advise required.

What errors can a dodgy CPU cause? What are the main traits of the CPU being the problem in a system? System freeze?

What errors can a faulty HDD cause? Corrupt files? Slow load up times, slow seek times?

you've pretty much got it there, though i've found cpu's to be pretty reliable and a freeze or crash being more likely memory. cpu's seems to either 'work or not work'

with an hd, most common problem i would of thought was bad sectors, which can cuase those slow load times and corrupt files...

i once had a bad celron (well thats what the guy in the store said so he gave us a new one!!) and the only thing that was wrong was sometimes the stupid thing wouldnt boot up itd just sit there and beep and beep...(ever tried taking the codes for the beeps??) and sometimes itd just crash...
